Chamberlain (1878-1966) authored some 40 books and screenplays in a career that spanned 5 decades. Among his many Hollywood credits were "White Man" (1924), a silent adventure film which was one of the earliest vehicles for Clark Gable, and "The Red House" (1945), which featured a southern New Jersey locale and signature role for Edward G. Robinson. The present work, Chamberlain's first play, is adapted from his first novel ("Home," 1914), concerning American expatriates in the jungles of Brazil. Scarce, especially in jacket.…
