Draft script for the pilot episode of the 1961-1964 television series, which originally aired on ATV on September 9, 1961. Based on the 1959 book by John Gosling. The series followed an elite division of Scotland Yard nicknamed the "Ghost Squad," generally sent to investigate unusual cases which fell outside the scope of normal police work. In this first entry, a squad operator is sent to investigate a criminal ring smuggling gold from Hong Kong to Karachi. Red titled wrappers, noted as DRAFT OF PILOT SCRIPT on the front wrapper, dated 14th June, 1960. Title page present, dated June, 1960, noted as DRAFT OF PILOT SCRIPT. 55 leaves, with last page of text numbered 54. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, lightly faded to the binding and top edge of the front wrapper, side stitched.
