Boards have damage to upper front, bumping and general wear to edges, sunning to spine, and generally soiled. Page bloc edges are dulled, some splitting to lower front gutter, previous owner's names to FFEP and half title. Light foxing occasionally throughout.

In the publisher's original pictorial cloth. Contains a colour frontispiece, and all thirty-one other colour plates by Briggs. Collated complete. A charming work in which Briggs shares his experiences of how angling allows the reader to better appreciate scenes of natural beauty. Briggs was known for his ability to capture moving water in painting, and examples of this are seen throughout, including at lochs Howie and Skae. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth. Externally, mostly smart, with a couple of marks to rear board. Minor rubbing to joints and edges. Slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and to the extremities. Offsetting to free end papers and a couple of spots to pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound, with minor wear to hinge between p.64 and plate, and pp.48-49.
