Some foxing. ; This copy inscribed by the editor in blue ink on the title page: "Meineike William H.B.S. / with Compliments of / W D Westervelt / Honolulu May 6 1937". Also a later owner's inscription on title page, dated 1962. [1-5], I-IV, 1-55, a-e (glossary), [1-2 (blank)] leaves + 2 illustrated leaves. The illustrated leaves are following leaf 20 (facsimile illustration of Spelling Book Issued October, 1825" and following leaf 51 (facsimile illustration of First Hawaiian Hymn Book [1823]). All leaves printed on one side of each leaf only. Appears to be produced by mimeograph. Transcript of the journal of a missionary to Hawaiian islands, 1824-1826. "Original owned by Dr. Wm. D. Westervelt and placed in the University of Hawaii".
