He was also a founder of the New York Bible Society and the New York Tract Society. The book is divided into three main sections: War is Inhuman; War is Unwise; and War is Criminal, each with the reasons for each statement. In addition, there are sections entitled: Objections Answered; Hymn; and The Mediator's Kingdom not of this World, but Spiritual. Gray cloth printed in dark blue, frontis portrait of the author, 168 pages. Some light soil to the covers and a little bit of edgewear, mainly to the top edge, good hinges, firm binding, very clean pages free from names or other markings. Hard Cover. Page 8 contains six verses of poetry by Cowper. This appears to be unrecorded.
