John Galt was a renowned Scottish novelist and essayist, admired for his depiction of country life and for his notable use of local Scots dialect in order to create vivid and subtle social landscapes. This set is copiously illustrated throughout by the renowned English line artistâ and book illustrator, Charles Edmund Brock.
