Diese sowie weitere Seiten weisen Wasserränder auf, die einige Seiten sind etwas stockfleckig. The cover is rubbed and bumped at the edges and corners, and the spine has long tears along the outer hinges. Strips of scotch tape were stuck over the spine of the book at the top and bottom. There is a small private library stamp on the title page. This and other pages have water marks and some pages are slightly foxed. Seconda edizione; impressa su consenso dell'autore e con le revisioni del prof. S. Longhena, di questa vasta e dettagliata indagine storica. L'A. critica nella prefazione l'edizione pirata fiorentina del 1827 e la susseguente necessità di procedere alla presente stesura corretta e ampliata ma senza l'aggiunta dell'atlante (previsto viceversa nella prima edizione).
