Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some moderate marking and sunning.

The frontal matter pages and three other page margins each have a stain, up to 1/2 in. Two page margins each have a chip, up to a linear 3/4 in. Two page margins each have a closed tear, up to 1 in. One page has two diagonal crease lines. DJ: The back panel has a photo of William Boyd in his role as Hopalong Cassidy. The front panel has a color illustration of him, on a white horse. The bottom end of the spine panel has color loss caused by the removal of a shelf label. The top and bottom edges of the spine panel have spots of color loss. The top edge also has four chips, 1/8 in. to a linear 1/4 in. Three 1/8 in. chips and four closed tears, up to 1/4 in. The front flap's front margin has stain left by tape.
