Pen and ink sketches by Robert E. Carson. Gainesville: University of Florida Press, 1966, 1st edition. Signed by both the author and illustrator, with an intimate presentation inscription, to Marion Gilliand, a well-known author and academic at the University of Florida. On the half-title page, Marion has inscribed the book to herself "To Marion from Marion! October 1966." The overall condition is Very Good. The jacket shows age toning and has small chips and tears to the edges and spine, with a small amount of loss at the spine head and mild cockling to back of DJ. White cloth covers remain fairly bright with a little tanning to spine. Page edges have foxing, mostly at the top edge. Aside from the signatures and inscriptions, the interior pages are clean, bright and unmarked, and the binding remains secure.
