The binding remains sound, though the olive green cloth boards exhibit standard age-related wear, including rubbing to the extremities, minor bumping to the corners, and slight fraying at the spine ends. The front board retains its black blocked panels and lettering, though the gilt has lightly dulled over time. The text block is generally tight; however, the untrimmed bottom edges display characteristic creasing and curling to the corners of the leaves. Internally, the pages are toned with scattered foxing, most notably to the title page and preliminary leaves, but remain largely clean and entirely readable. Catalogue Note: First English Edition.
