Bestände - Diese Version nicht bei DB&S - Tendenziell eher späte Ausgabe(n), doch wurde zumindest der Haupttitel noch bis in die 2. Hälfte des 18. Jhs. gedruckt (vgl. KVK). Der 'Index' war zudem nicht zwingend der 'Grammatik' beigebunden - Vgl. swissbib mit zahlreichen Einträgen; einzelne Erwähnungen späterer od. anderer Ausgaben/Titel bei A. Sichler (Bde. 3, 1908 'Lehrmittel' u. 4, 1919 'Nachträge') - Das vorliegende Exemplar einer Badener, d.h. Aargauer Ausgabe (auch: De Institutione Grammatica libri tres) beginnt direkt mit der Überschrift zum Liber Primus: 'De generibus nominum, quae ex significatione cognoscuntur' - Die 'Grammaticarum institutionum' erschien als relativ frühes jesuitisches Lehrmittel erstmals Lissabon 1572 (Ordensgründung durch Ignatius von Loyola 1534). DB&S (1, sp. 223): "Les trois livres sont: I. De Etymologia; II. De Syntaxi; III. De Prosodia. Cette première édition n'a pas l'Index qui se trouve dans quelques éditions postérieures. Cette grammaire devint l'ouvrage classique dans la plupart des provinces de la Compagnie [des Jésuites] et fut recommendée par le 'Ratio studiorum'. "On a de lui une excellente 'grammaire' [.], et c'est certainement la meilleure qu'on puisse employer à l'usage des colleges; toutes celles qu'on a récemment essayé de lui substituer, ne sont que des recueils informes, faits par des gens qui eux-mêmes ont grand besoin d'apprendre la grammaire d'Alvarez.
