New Westminster Public Library (Basement), and is replete with ancient card pocket (borrowing card lists first loan in 1933), due date sticker, "Withdrawn" and other stamps, and even a barcode sticker!). Printed on acidic paper and bound in sewn signatures in blue cloth boards with dark brown end papers. Design on front panel and title block on spine stamped in gilt foil. Moderate shelf / use wear to cover, with pronounced wear at the spine fold at the back, where the cloth binding cover is split for most of the length of the book. Spine is age darkened. End papers are cracked at the gutter. The first 4pp signature and tipped in engraved frontispiece preceding the title page have sepated from the binding and are inserted loose. Binding is gently cocked but remains strong. Except for libary markings, pages are age toned but clean and unmarked.
