In den WarenkorbHalf Leather & Cloth Hardback. Zustand: Very Good. New Edition. 1832. New edition, complete in one volume. iv, lii, 687pp. (double-column). Robert Leighton (1611-1684) was a Scottish prelate and scholar, best known as a church minister, Bishop of Dunblane, Archbishop of Glasgow, and Principal of the University of Edinburgh from 1653 to 1662. This is a one-volume edition of his commentaries, lectures, sermons, and letters. Prefixed is a brief biography of Leighton by James Aikman. The book is bound in contemporary half leather over brown cloth covered boards. The case of the book is in very good condition with expected shelf wear and soiling on the boards and some scuffing and staining to the leather on the spine and around the corners. The spine is darkened and the original leather title label is missing. The contents are tight and clean with some light and faint foxing on the first and last few pages, including the title-page. There is a little scattered light foxing elsewhere within the book. The back of the rear free endpaper has a circular stamp from 'The London Bible College' but there is no inscription.
