Stamitz, Kreutzer started his service as the first violinist at the Court Kapelle in 1783. Later he was appointed the chamber virtuoso at the court of Napoleon I and…then Louis XVIII. Kreutzer had many tours over Europe. Among Kreutzer's compositions there are numerous operas, violin concertos string quartets, trios and others of mostly different genres and for various casts. Ludwig van Beethoven appreciated the great performer's skill very much. Remember the so-called "Kreutzer-Sonata" op. 47, dedicated by the giant of piano to the master of violin. Rodolphe Kreutzer was the professor of the Paris Conservatoire, founder of its classical trend. Together with P. Rode and P.
