Endpaper with the flourished signature of William Bond, Cambridge. Bond was a prime mover in the festival : as the author Thomas Hallack describes it (p.6) : 'At this juncture Mr Bond's plan [for a General Dinner on Parker's Piece] came out . and the Secretary [the author Thomas Hallack] records it with pleasure that the whole merit of originating this plan belongs to him [ie. Bond]' . ** Endpaper also with the attractive Lister calligraphic booklabel in the Cambridge style (Reynolds Stone / Will Carter / David Kindersley). Raymond Lister, bibliophile scholar & collector of William Blake, was also the owner and managing director of the Cambridge metalwork firm George Lister & Sons founded by his grandfather.
