After an exhaustive research about the Institute and knowing its political-administrative environment along with other relevant characteristics, we conducted two interviews, one with a middle-manager, specifically a lecturer, who gave us insights about the organization¿s funding sources and how external policies affect employees; and the other one with a higher ranked and experienced manager, that revealed how efficient policy-making in conjunction with the role of a good manager will stand out for a good performance. We proceeded by the division of tasks, for example, being three of us the ones interviewing the managers, and the other two remaining doing the transcript. The drought affects farmers in Nakasongola through increased pests/parasites and disease incidences leading to animal deaths.According to the farmers, water shortage as the main cause of crop and animal death and that majority actually do nothing to control crop death during the drought. However, some few farmers have adopted some drought resistant varieties of sweet potato and cassava to adapt to drought. The constraints are very numerous with majority of the farmers point towards poverty, climatic stress and contamination of the valley dam water by both animals and people themselves. In the field surveys and focus groups, farmers cited the lack of adequate financial resources as an important factor that constrains their use of adaptation measures which entail significant investment, such as irrigation systems and improved or new crop varieties. 20 pp. Englisch.

The Neo-Avantgarde can be classified as a period of experimentation between the 1950s and 1960s by practitioners such as Jerzy Grotowskiand Richard Schechner. Avant-garde Theatre, defines the ideology as a 'philosophical grouping¿linked by a specific attitude to western society, a particular aesthetic approach, and the aim of transforming the nature of theatrical performance' (Innes 4). The defining aspects of the Neo-Avantgarde are the interconnections in ideologies of the practitioners that dominated the movement and the rejection of western conventions and beliefs. This is explored through the actors physical presence, spectator-performer dynamics, the links between theatre and ritual, catharsis and the aspiration to reconnect theatre and life. The study thus concludes that incessant strike actions culminate into the erosion of academic quality, robbing off academic time from school administrators and upon resuming from a strike, academic work is bound to the rushed. As such, this study recommends that universities monitoring committee should be formulated whose responsibility will be to liaise with the union on the recent challenges the universities are facing and relate back to the government for quick action. It deals with the term 'Alienation' and a new concept of it by the author herself.In her work The Mushroom at the End of the World Anna L. Tsing investigates the question of what remains after capitalism and its developments. Not very much anymore, she claims. Thus she examines the various forms of ecological and social life within capitalist ruins. The main role in her investigation is played by the Matsutake mushroom, an edible and also precious mushroom, which is some sort of an artefact fungus. This means that it grows best where humans have exerted a considerable influence on the environment. Her patchwork ethnography traces a rhizome-like interweaving of heterogeneous fields of investigation. One of the few constants in her work is the term 'alienation'. Tsing introduces the term with the assertion that alienation transforms people and non-human entities into movable goods. Alienation therefore also creates the capitalist ruins, leaving behind those places unsustainable from which people and other things have been moved out as goods. Alienation is in this respect a deficient relationship. It denote a disturbed world- and self relatedness. What stands out further is that the Matsutake mushrooms, for example, can assume different stages of alienation. While they are still perceived by mushroom pickers as meaningful trophies, they are alienated as market products within the international supply chains. Only again in the Japanese exchange of gifts can the Matsutake mushrooms be released from their alienated status.I have noticed that the term is theoretically not negligible in Tsing's work, but unfortunately, it remains under-determined. Much of the term remains unexplained and thus incomprehensible. Furthermore, it is immediately apparent that the term in Tsing's work is partly opposed to the classical or everyday understanding of 'alienation'. In the present work, I would therefore like to deal with the question of how 'alienation' can be understood in Tsing's work. However, the EU¿s DevCo is called into question because frequently the EU sacrifices important principles such as partnership or human rights to the domestic policy-driven goal of preventing migration movements towards Europe. Input legitimacy was examined in the context of the border governance of the Schengen border regime, output legitimacy was judged in the context of the EUROSUR policies, especially the use of AFRT at borders and the refugee distribution scheme of the Dublin Convention. Throughput legitimacy was analyzed taking into account the criterion of accountability within the privatization of the border management. The examination of these aspects has shown that the EU policy on migration is highly contradictory and deficient in all areas of legitimacy. There are no uniform ways of acting, nation-state interests remain dominant, policies conflict with human rights, there is no clarity about who is accountable for certain measures. On the basis of the insights gained, five recommendations for action have been drawn up for the EU Commission, which should contribute to coping with this crisis.Since the introduction of the Schengen Agreement in 1985, the task of border security has shifted from national borders to the European external borders. Although this agreement has led to greater European integration and to a certain degree to a common European identity, opinions are divided on how to deal with humans outside of the Schengen borders. With the increasing migration flows towards Europe since the Syrian Conflict in 2011 and the ensuing EU policies, the EU has increasingly become a protected fortress, which recognizes migrants as a threat.
