Zustand: Very good. Broadside. Text in three columns within triple-rule decorative border. 12 by 9 1/8 inches. OCLC locates only a single holding at the University of Michigan (incorrectly dating the broadside 1845; i.e. other identical imprints dated between 1822 and 1827). We find only a single copy in Rare Book Hub, selling at Swann Galleries in 2012 for $900. The text, in the form of a catechism, prints twenty-six questions about "the duties of servants," and their answers, often citing biblical passages, including, "22 Q. Are there any instances in the Bible, to encourage good and faithful servants? A. Eliezer the Servant of Abraham, was wise, upright, and faithful, and frequently prayed that God would bless his master. Gen. xxiv. 23 Q. Can you produce another instance? A. Joseph, when sold for a slave, by his good conduct gained the favour and esteem of Potiphar his Master." Broadside. Text in three columns within triple-rule decorative border. 12 by 9 1/8 inches.
