Brun, Robida 1.224. - (see bottom lines for condition) - Grandiose Satire einer mobilen Kommunikationsgesellschaft, mit unendlichem Einfallsreichtum illustriert. Technische, gesellschaftliche und politische Entwicklungen werden genüsslich auf die Spitze getrieben. Es gibt Bildtelefon, Lebensmittelfabriken, Modezaren, Frauenempanzipation, Telefonberatung und vielfältige Folgen der Globalisierung. Übernahme westlicher Lebensstandards, Aufeinanderprall fremder Kulturen, globale Vernetzung mit Bildübertragung, Lifereportagen von Kriegsschauplätzen, aber auch peinliche Fehlschaltungen oder bewusste Verletzungen der Privatsphäre kommen vor. Historische Bauwerke müssen sich dem Luft- und Rohrbahnverkehr gnadenlos unterordnen, die Schlemmerlokale, Nobelherbergen und Verkehrszentren sind meist einfach aufgestockt, so z.B. ein Ballonbahnhof auf die Kathedrale von Notre-Dame oder ein weitläufiges Hotel über dem Arc de Triomphe. Zu einer Zeit, da die Dampfeisenbahn das einzige technische Massenverkehrsmittel zu Land war, zeichnet Robida das Bild eines chaotischen Individual-Luftverkehrs, dem er alle Aufgaben und Probleme unseres heutigen Autoverkehrs, inklusive Camping und Massentourismus, zuordnet (vgl.
