Contains colour and black and white illustrations by the author. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. More pronounced to endpapers and text block edges. Noticeable cracking to gutters and hinges, with exposed netting. Plate facing page 216 detached but present. Pen inscription to half-title page. Binding is weakened. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Water staining to spine and boards. Gilt lettering is dulled. Book has a slight forward lean.
