However,the potential lacks quantitative accuracy, andtherefore not suitable for nuclear structurecalculations. Thus, it is important to seek morequantitative chiral r-space NN potential. Thisresearch shows the basic frame work and sometechnical details for the construction of such apotential.

Chapter 3 addresses the paradigmatic case of spherical symmetry in mass density distribution (central force), introducing the useful tool of qualitative motion analysis. Chapter 4 deals with astrophysical applications, like, for instance the Jeans theory of gravitational instability. The following chapter discusses the general case of non-symmetric mass density distribution and develop classical potential theory, incorporating elements of harmonic theory, which is essential for understanding the series development of the gravitational potential. Finally, Chapter 6 discusses some relevant differences between Newtonian and relativistic gravitation. The first part deals with a careful presentation of the principles on which the physical problems are based. The fluids under consideration are assumed to be incompressible and the equations so obtaine…d are nonlinear. The linear problems are obtained by introducing characteristic parameters and so determining which terms can be neglected. The authors feel it is important that when a mathematical problem is solved, one knows precisely which problem has actually been solved. The second part deals with the mathematical treatment of the problems derived in the first part. These equations are linear and time dependent. The first step is the construction of a fundamental solution for the equations involved. They are analogous to the fundamental solutions for the potential and heat equations commonly found in the mathematical and engineering literature.
