Alguna pequeña reintegración marginal de papel en alguna hoja. Robert Harcourt: Nació en Staffordshire, Inglaterra, en el seno de una familia de tradición católica. Cursó derecho en la Universidad de Oxford. Tuvo dos matrimonios, su primera esposa falleció joven, la segunda era nieta del conde de Oxford. El 13 de febrero de 1609, la corte le concedió el permiso para colonizar la Guyana. Partió en abril de ese año junto a su hermano Michael y una tripulación de 30 ingleses y dos nativos de Guyana (uno había sido llevado a Inglaterra por Raleigh, el otro por Leigh). El 17 de mayo de 1609 llegó a la margen izquierda del río Oiapoque (hoy frontera Brasil-Guayana Francesa). Era época de lluvias y debió esperar unos meses para penetrar hacia el interior, pese a no encontrar oro, el 14 de Agosto toman posesión en nombre de Inglaterra de las tierras entre el Amazonas y el Essequibo. Luego Robert decide regresar a Inglaterra dejando a su hermano a cargo de la pequeña colonia (Compañía de Guayana"). Llegó a Bristol el 17 de diciembre de 1609. En 1612 regresaría Michael, traía historias de ricos yacimientos de oro y piedras preciosas en el interior de la Guyana. El 28 de agosto de 1613, el rey Jaime I otorgó a Robert Harcourt y descendientes todo el territorio comprendido entre los ríos Amazonas y Essequibo. Con el objetivo de atraer inversores Harcourt escribe "Una relación de un viaje a Guayana ." explicando el gran potencial económico que podría obtenerse de la explotación de azúcar, algodón y tabaco en la Guyana. No logró repercusión. Publico dos ediciones de este Viaje, ambas igual de raras y difíciles de encontrar en venta, Harcourt en esta segunda edición claramente intenta ganarse al público de nuevo para consolidar sus intereses allí sin tener éxito. Vendió sus propiedades y realizo una nueva expedición a la Guyana, en febrero de 1629. Nuevamente fracasa. Muere el 20 de mayo de 1631 PSS1".…
