Bound by Remnant & Edmonds, London. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Minor fading with the odd small mark to the boards. Minor loss of the cloth to the board tips. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. No end-papers issued, paste-downs generally clean but 2 short words and v. sm,brown square top fr. and traces of erased penciling top back plus short thin brown 3.5 cm strip across bottom from gutter. First published in 1715 this now appears to be remarkably scarce. It includes, Song XX, the famous, and famously arodied by Lewis Carrol the verses beginning 'How doth the little busy bee/ Improve each shining hour'.
