Gerade in Zeiten, da eine sich ausbreitende Tendenz zur Langzeitarbeitslosigkeit in Deutschland wieder zur deutlicher wahrnehmbaren Herausbildung und Zementierung einer Unterschicht führt, ist dieser Text - Produkt einer akribischen beobachtenden Forschung in der niederösterreichischen, südlich von Wien gelegenen Arbeitersiedlung - zu den sozialpsychologischen Folgen des sozialen Abstiegs hochaktuell. Allerdings wies Franz Schandl 2017 in der Zeitschrift "Streifzüge" darauf hin, wie sehr die ForscherInnen dem damaligen Arbeitsethos verfallen waren: "Bei Jahoda, Lazarsfeld und Zeisel fließt das Arbeitscredo aus allen Zeilen der Studie.
