Joel enjoyed an active business career in real estate, mortgage brokerage, and title insurance. He founded and managed a title insurance company that was sold to a national firm in 2001 as he remained on staff as consultant until retirement in 2007. Joel and Bette, Joel's life-long companion since college, and faithful partner who left a successful teaching career to join Joel in business, have two children. Their son, Brett, lives with his wife Glenda, and their two children, Chase and Nicole in Orlando, Florida. Their daughter, Shannon, resides with her daughter, Renee, in Destin, Florida. Teaching bible truth is Joel's passion. He believes that diligent study will reward anyone who 'chases truth'.
