Original gray printed wrappers. / Nambu was a Japanese-American physicist, known for his contributions to the field of theoretical physics. He shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2008 for the discovery of the mechanism of spontaneous broken symmetry in subatomic physics. He also received a number of other prizes in physics. He spent most of his career at the University of Chicago. "Nambu was one of the great theoretical physicists of the latter half of the 20th century. Much of the current theory of elementary particles revolves around seminal contributions by Nambu," said Peter Freund, professor emeritus in physics at University of Chicago.
