First Edition. quarto, bound in original light blue-gray cloth covered boards in fine condition, contents would be fine with pp. 124 of text with b&w and tipped in color plates of carpets, however the publisher used non- archival glue to attach the tipped in color plates and this glue has turned brown over time and affects the paper. The color plates still look fine, but many have also detached from the glue and pages. All are present and could be reattached with good glue, but browning of the paper is not easily corrected. We will call the contents "good" other copies, would have the same problem unless different glue was used. Dust jacket is very good to near fine with little wear and scuffing. No names or bookplates noted inside. Note: dues to size and weight shipping outside the USA may cost less than an average book.
