They were known for various hits such as "Butterfly", "Why Not", "Paint The Tow…n (PTT)", "Flip That", and much more. The project was announced some time in 2016, Where at that time starting in October of that year, The project was mainly focused more towards the individual members and sub-units, For the following 18 months, all 12 members and 3 were introduced and released singles and EPs, In 2018, with the project completed, all twelve members debuted as one group. In 2018, they debuted with the single "favOriTe" and shortly followed with the EP "[++]", Which also included notable track "Hi High", which later became one of their most well known songs. In 2019 they followed with "[XX]" which included hits "Butterfly" and "Satellite", which also became two of their most wellknown songs, They also released "[#]" which included the hit "So What" Throught this period they also released various singles, The most notable one being a christmas song titled "The Carol 2.0". Then in 2020 they released "[12:00]" which featured their biggest hit yet, "Why Not", Which in 2021 they followed with "[&]" which included "Paint The Town (PTT)", which also recieved simular success to their last single, They then debuted in Japan with their first all Japanese single "Hula Hoop" which also included the song "Starseed", at that same time, 4 of the members (Heejin, Yves, Kim Lip, Jinsoul) collaborated with Ryan Jhun to release a single titled "Not Friends", The following year they were invited to "Queendom 2", a TV show hosted by South Korean TV channel MNet, In the show they compete with various other girl groups and perform alongside them, They performed a cover of fellow girl group Sistar's "Shake It" and also performed 2 original tracks, one being a pre-released track ("Paint The Town"), and a new track titled "POSE" which was included in their following release that year titled "Summer Special: Flip That", which as the title suggests it also includes the hit "Flip That", They then also released their second Japanese single "LUMINOUS" and also went on tour, One of the members, Chuu, at the surprise of fans, did not appear in both the Japanese single and world tour, It was then revealed by Blockberry Creative that she was kicked out of the group due to being rude to various staff, It was then revealed by Korean media that Chuu and other members were being abused by Blockberry Creative, from extremely intense work schedules, to very unfair pay distribution, It was also revealed by Korean media that many of the members were paid very little by Blockberry Creative, as a result, Many fans decided to boycott Blockberry Creative, Blockberry Creative had also announced a very poorly timed comeback release, Which they required crowdfunding for, very little people donated money and the people that did so never recieved a copy of the planned album, As of 2024 some tracks from the planned album were leaked onto the internet, In late 2022 throught mid 2023, The members were in a legal battle with their former employer Blockberry Creative in an attempt to terminate their contracts, most of the time, The members would lose in their lawsuits toward the company, Until sometime in 2023 when all members re-filed lawsuits and won, The members then went their seperate ways, 5 members (Heejin, Haseul, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry) joined the label MODHAUS and formed the group "ARTMS", Sub-unit "Odd Eye Circle" also under MODHAUS, 2 (Yves, Chuu) went solo, and the rest (Vivi, Hyunjin, Gowon, Hyeju, Yeojin) joined CTD Entertainment and formed "Loossemble", which was short lived and recently disbanded in November of this year. ; Members: Choerry, Chuu, Go Won, Haseul, Heejin, Hyunjin, JinSoul, Kim Lip, Vivi, Yeojin, Yves, ?? ; BlockBerry Creative - L200002213 ; FINE. Buch. Zustand: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - This second of two volumes explores broader cultural, economic, and socio-political dynamics exchanged between Asian popular media and the world. The authors analyze how the said media navigate complex global markets and technological advancements. They dis…cuss how dissemination and consumption of Asian popular culture, such as early Chinese-language movie theaters, Netflix, subtitling of Asian content, impact the popularity of cultural contents. They also examine the portrayal of ajummas (middle-aged women) in Korean TV and film, along with the varying representations of utopia and dystopia embedded in Asian science fiction. This volume illustrates the soft power of media in transnational exchanges.
