Dust jacket has slight chipping at head of spine and wear at folds and corners.

Cecil William Mercer, initially trained as a barrister, was famous for two book series: the semi autobiographical 'Berry' books and the hair-raising 'Chandos' thrillers. Fire Below is fourth in the Chandos series.

Toning to edges of textblock, light spotting to flyleaf, damp staining to publisher's cloth, tearing to edges of dust-jacket, spotting evident on inside of dust-jacket. Cecil William Mercer was an English writer and novelist whose work was often becoming best sellers during the Interwar Period.
