The volume includes two critical texts addressing Wróblewski's artistic practice: a historical analysis of early works written in 1968 by Andrzej Kostoowski, and a study of late works by Joanna Kordjak-Piotrowska. These are accompanied by a historical statement by the artist and photographer Zbigniew Dubak.

Lavishly illustrated throughout, in colour where required, and including several folding plates. The binding a little pulled at the head of the backstrip, a result of the sheer heft of the text block, otherwise in fine state. No dust wrapper called for. A vast catalogue raisonné of seven decades of Wróblewski exhibitions, with critical essays contributed by various hands. Wróblewski, a Polish figurative painter, died in a mountaineering accident in 1957 when he was only 29, and is today recognized as one of Poland's most prominent artists of the early post-WWII era.
