The book is mentioned in Tim D'Arch Smith's 'Love in Earnest', where he identifies the author/translator as Frederic Wright. English translation of the Greek original. Very good with neat inscription on front endpaper, "G.D.H, from R. - Christmas 1924". Browning to endpapers. Crushing at head of spine and tanning at spine, with slight chipping at lower front corner, otherwise sound, near very good with clean text.
