In den WarenkorbPaperback. Zustand: Very Good. Pol-Dives [Vladimir Polissadiv] (illustrator). First edition. The very scarce, illustrated first edition of this bilingual French and English poetry work by Vladimir Polissadiv. Very scarce. First edition. Gaberbocchus Black Series, No. 5-6. In the publisher's original soft covers. Bilingual edition in the original French, accompanied by the translation by Barbara Wright. Profusely illustrated throughout by the author from magic lantern slides. Fascinating poetry work by Polish poet and artist Vladimir Polissadiv under the name Pol-Dives. Polissadiv had a close relationship with renowned Polish writer Stefan Themerson, who he hid in his Paris apartment during the Nazi occupation of 1940. Themerson introduces the text, which was also published at his own Gaberbocchus Press. In the publisher"s original soft covers. Externally, very smart with minor shelf wear and light marking, more noticeable to purple spine detail. Internally, firmly bound. Very bright and clean with the odd mark, more common to the first and last few pages. Very Good. book.

In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. 7 full-page and upwards of 80 smaller illustrations in line (I made it 86, but it depends on how you count them). Pictorial endpapers in orange. Pictorial paper-covered boards in several colours, featuring a large snail, birds nesting, trees, leaves and a house with features. Spine chipped at both ends, all present, though somewhat crudely repaired at the top. A very good copy. Forget Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Casino Royale. The first edition of this masterpiece is the truly rare.
