I, English castles A-N; II, English castles O-W, Welsh castles; each castle has its own engraved plate with tissue and a couple of pages of description; each volume has an engraved title page as well as the printed title page, plate of Newcastle castle as a frontispiece to volume I, plate of Tintagel as frontispiece to volume II, signature of a previous owner to the front free endpaper of both volumes, some plates are prefectly clean some have light spotting and some have more heavy foxing, the text pages are not as affected, watered red/brown cloth boards, corners bumped and rubbed, spine ends frayed and chipped and joints starting to split, volume I has a shelf label to the spine, gilt spine lettering. The engravings are very attractive. Size: 10 x 6.25 Inches. Illustrated.
