[ii], 18pp. Sir Arnold Whittaker Wolfendale (1927-2020) was a British astronomer who served as the fourteenth Astronomer Royal from 1991 to 1995. He was Professor of Physics at Durham University from 1965 until 1992 and served as president of the European P…hysical Society (1999-2001). He was President of the Royal Astronomical Society from 1981 to 1983. This slim booklet contains the text of a lecture on Einstein, delivered by Sir Arnold Wolfendale at Glaziers Hall, London, on 22nd September 2005. The booklet is staple bound in the original card covers with titling and illustrations of the arms of the four livery companies sponsoring the lectures on the front cover. The booklet is in excellent condition and there is an inscription on the first page that reads: "To David - my poetic guru - with kind regards, Arnold." (David refers to Durham poet David Burnett) Loosely inserted at the end is a copy of the menu for the supper given at the lecture and two entry tickets are tipped-in on the inside of the rear cover. SIGNED COPY.
