First and only edition, scarce.In the publisher's original paper wraps, 'Greenfield Review Press Chapbook #1'.Illustrations include a cover illustration and two full-page illustrations by Von Magnus.This is a collection of poetry written and compiled by inmates at the Soledad State Prison, also known as the Correctional Training Facility. Many of the poems were originally part over another book called 'The 6:15 Unlock: A Kite from Soledad', and were smuggled out. Because of this, the poems were anonymous to protect the prisoners themselves.Contents include 'Always Easter', 'Black Prison', 'Failure of Power', and 'On Leaving Limbo'.Some poems written by poet Jim Moore, who spent time at the Feral Prison in Springfield, Missouri for refusal of induction.Edited by writers Joseph Bruchac and William Witherup.Collated, complete.
