Illustrated front cover has a lard photograph of Frank Sinatra next to a CBS microphone. Cover has some wear, soiling, and a previous owner's name blacked out twice. Francis Albert Sinatra (December 12, 1915 - May 14, 1998) was an American singer and actor. Nicknamed the "Chairman of the Board" and later called "Ol' Blue Eyes", Sinatra was one of the most popular entertainers of the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. He is among the world's best-selling music artists with an estimated 150 million record sales. Sinatra was honored at the Kennedy Center Honors in 1983, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Ronald Reagan in 1985, and the Congressional Gold Medal in 1997. He received eleven Grammy Awards, including the Grammy Trustees Award, Grammy Legend Award and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Sinatra was included in Time magazine's compilation of the 20th century's 100 most influential people. As a very popular bandleader in the 1940s and 1950s, Carle was nicknamed "The Wizard of the Keyboard". "Sunrise Serenade" was Carle's best-known composition, rising to No. 1 in the US in 1938 and selling more than one million copies. During World War II, he participated in the V-Disc program, making recordings which were released by the U.S. War Department. He introduced V-Disc No. 210A which featured his new composition "Moonlight Whispers". All three have boldly signed this contract (in full) under the caption: "We are the composers". *Fred Wise and Al Frisch were a successful songwriting team in the 1940's and 1950's. Despite their immense success they are both virtually unobtainable in autographic material. American Hall of Fame songwriter who wrote top hits for Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Tony Bennett, among others - before becoming one of the most prolific songwriters for Elvis Presley. He contributed heavily to Presley's movie soundtrack and provided over 30 songs used in King Creole, Wild in the Country, Follow That Dream, Kid Galahad, This Is Living, Fun in Acapulco, Kissin' Cousins, and Roustabout. He also wrote the song "Wooden Heart" which Elvis sand in the film G.I. Blues.
