Leisenring fut membre de la branche anglaise du Blavatsky Institute (La Société théosophique) fondée à New York le 17 novembre 1875 par Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. Elle écrivit plusieurs ouvrages dont The Real Earth, Too Small for Life. 2 lettres autographe signées en anglais adressées à Muriel CIOLKOWSKA, journaliste anglaise, critique dart à Paris pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, collaboratrice au New Free woman et à The Egoist, deux importantes revues modernistes. 1) 3 p. in-4. Zürich, 21 mai 1914. Petite déchirure en bordure de la première page. Muriel Ciokowska doit rendre des traductions de textes dun certain Rubio. Winifred W. Leisenring lui annonce aussi quils ont décidé darrêter la publication de The Path : A Theosophical Monthly, mais elle lui propose dautres traductions. La théosophe vient de relire de H. P. Blavatsky Isis Unveiled (Isis dévoilé clef des mystères de la science et de la théologie anciennes et modernes) quelle met en relation avec les écrits alchimiques de Paracelsus et lui en conseille la lecture. Elle explique pourquoi elle considère que louvrage est plus important que The Secret Doctrine (La Doctrine secrète). 2) 2 p. in-4. Zürich, 27 mai 1914. Winifred Leisenring la remercie pour sa prompte réponse et décline quelques détails dorganisation pour la remise des traductions. Elle évoque ensuite un artiste nommé qui travaille la manière noire et lédition de l'ouvrage Proteus. Vient ensuite un jugement sur la Suisse « libre d'une influence psychique moindre » (« free from lower psychic influence ») quelle compare à Berlin et Paris. Elle y sent une atmosphère propice au travail et à la lecture, trouve les références dont elle a besoin dans les bibliothèques.
