Previous owner's name written on front attached endpaper. Pages are foxed throughout, but text remains in good reading condition overall. Black and white frontispiece portrait of Philip Henry. Binding is cracked in one or two spots, but covers remain attached and no missing/detached signatures. Henry is well known as a diarist, and not only was a witness to Charles I's execution, but was a playmate of Princes Charles and James as a child. This book follows his life from birth, to the sermon preached by his son after Henry's death.…
