From the Hitherto Unpublished Mss in the Saxon Archives, Edited and Selected From the German Version by Oakley Williams' Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand von Funck was a Saxon general-lieutenant who fought against, and then alongside, Napoleon. Rather that setting the work out chronologically, Funck chose to write his memoirs as a series of individual essays. In a red cloth binding. Externally, smart, with some wear to the extremities and light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Bookplate of Thomas Lord to front pastedown. Internally firmly bound.
