The cloth cover is worn, but brave, secure, stoic. The gold print on the spine is bright, clean. The shabby cover is worn at all corners and edges. Inside, the guttering at the title page is open, but this has not weakened the security of the frontis-illustration nor the pages. There is much evidence of ownership and wear throughout the book. Nonetheless, the pages are pleasingly comfortable, sure, assured, clean, clear and may be read with complete confidence and ease. fk.
