Fascinating work on the home and favorite places of the world's most famous writer, profusely illustrated with 15 plates in water-color, 45 full-page photogravures and more than 150 b/w in-text illustrations. Each watercolor plate and photogravure is protected by a printed tissue-guard. Some edge wear on binding with major rubbing along joints and corners. Head and tail of spine rubbed and partly chipped. Ex-library copy with bookplate on free front endpaper, and library stamp on outer margin of each plate. Binding in overall fair, interior in very good condition.
