CONTENTS: [1] Comparative Piano Methods, a discussion of approaches to piano-playing technique, first appeared in Volume 18 of "Music: A Monthly Magazi…ne Devoted to the Art, Science, Technic and Literature of Music" (1900; William Smythe Babcock Mathews, Editor) and was later serialized in two issues of "The Etude" (1901). [2] Modern Methods of Music Teaching (by a distinguished Detroit-area music pedagogue), a transcript of her presentation given at the 24th convention (1901) of the National Music Teachers Association (held in Put-in-Bay, Ohio), was subsequently printed in the Association's newsletter, "The Messenger". 12 + 8 pages. CONDITION: A solidly-bound Good Plus copy with moderate edge-/corner-wear and a bend/crease in the upper-right corner, its interior clean and unmarked, with a hint of age-tanning. This rare item is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag.
