The green cloth boards have paste on labels to spine and cover with some fading to the spine. The inside text pages are without markings and the binding is square and tight. However, it is from the Smithsonian library with call number tag to the spine and barcode to the back cover with associated stamping on the title page, dated 1976. The dust jacket is tucked inside but there is a large tear to the spine and chipping to the edges. This is Daniel Boorstin's copy, with bookplate present inside. Daniel J. Boorstin was the twelfth librarian of congress from 1975 until 1987, appointed under President Ford. He was also an accomplished author of more than 20 books, contributing much to the fields of sociology and history.
