Zustand: VERY GOOD. Facsimile edition. A work by this pioneering Black education and activist, originally published in 1896. Includes a brief biographical sketch by Edward L. Parks, and talks given by Crogman over the 13 years preceding publication, all related to "the race of which I am a member" as he noted. Among the subjects are Frederick Douglass, Bishop Atticus Haywood, the 26th and the 32nd anniversaries of the Emancipation Proclamation, and Negro education, needs and claims. xxiii, 330 pp. Ex-library but with relatively few markings and overall tight, clean and sturdy in black cloth with silver lettering on the spine.

Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. Shelf and handling wear to cover and binding, with general signs of previous use. Boards betray fading and nicks and other signs of wear and imperfection commensurate with age. Front hinge shows cracking, but the binding remains structurally sound. Pages unmarked.
