Separated along the fold, notched and worn along the fold with page numbers penned in the top corners from once being bound within an album, foxing, and light offsetting, a good only copy. For voice and piano. This piece incorrectly spells Thomas Haynes Bayly's name as "Bayley." It's rare for a piece to have zero publisher or copyright information, but this style of presentation is indicative of sheet music produced in the early 19th century. This edition, with no publisher information and consisting of four pages with two pages of content, is unrecorded by *OCLC*, which locates two holdings of a three-page edition published by Atwill's Music Saloon (*OCLC* gives the date range of 1834-1847) and one holding of a three-page edition published by Thomas Birch (1850). Given the style of presentation of this edition, we believe it may precede the Atwill and Birch editions. Scarce.…

The contents, with just a touch of spotting to the top and fore- edges of the closed text block, are otherwise clean throughout, and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Issued in an edition of 100 copies, from which this example is numbered 85, and signed by British Fantasy Award-nominated illustrator Vincent Sammy in black ink on a cream bookplate pasted to the front endpaper (as issued).
