The slipcase is age-toned and chipped (as pictured), else firmly intact and strong. William Willetts (1918-1995) was a British art historian. He structured this artistic survey to map specific art mediums to the historical periods during which they achieved their highest technical and socio-political relevance. Volume 1 covers geography and prehistory, jade, ritual bronzes, lacquer, silk and sculpture. Volume 2 covers pottery and ceramics, painting and history, and architecture.
