Sperry to Margaret Hennings, 23 Parkside, Cambridge, England postmarked May 3 1945 written on headed notepaper from 11 Francis Avenue Cambridge 38, Massachusetts dated May 2 - 45 and consisting of about 300 words in which he says 'Let me thank you at once for the very great help you have given the book, and it must have been a rather thankless task.' He continues, 'Writing the book at all was rather a "command performance" after the invitation from the Press.' He had misgivings but her appreciative response makes him think 'he is not too wide of the mark.' Finally he hopes she has charged enough. Willard L. Sperry (1882 Ð 1954) Congregationalist minister, Dean of Harvard Divinity School and prolific author. Spine and upper cover sunned. Very good. Light wear otherwise very good.
