It is effectively an abridgement of 'Journals and Journalism: With a Guide for Literary Beginners', first issued in 1880 in an edition of 1000 copies. This sold out within a few days and a second edition was published in 1881. This also proved to be very popular and the above title was printed '. in cheap and handy fashion.', to fill the need. It omits the 'Dictionary of the Periodical Press' to be found in the first edition.…
