A signed example of this scarce local legal history, issued in a small edition. Wilcox, a Port Chester attorney and legal writer, compiled here a detailed biographical register of the bar of Rye Township-embracing Mamaroneck, Port Chester, and Rye-from the colonial period through the early twentieth century. The work preserves a substantial body of professional and genealogical detail not readily recoverable from standard sources, and remains an important reference for the legal and civic history of Westchester County.
