Originally a marketing project by the municipality of the Hague this can be enjoyed as an evocative glimpse at The Netherlands during another time. The dustjacket is much worn and torn. The main body of the dj is clear and charming. The cloth cover is neat and smart. The gold emblem on the front cover is bright. There is mild wear to edges and corners. The gutterings along the front and end papers are cracked but this has not affected the book's security and solidity. The pages are clean, clear, reassuring and tidy. fk.
