Near Fine with light soiling and ear to vellum, fore edge shows hint of foxing. A beautifully bound, signed copy of a novel by a major figure in Arabic literature, translated into French two years after its original Arabic edition. al-Hakim (1898-1987) was a major Egyptian playwright and novelist.
